MOBILE VR SOLUTION FOR MINDARK

MindArk’s Business-VR is a B2B multi-user platform that allows professionals to meet and interact in Virtual Reality. This mobile VR application serves as an alternative to phone and video conferencing as well as meeting in physical locations.

OBJECTIVES

MindArk and N-iX have been partners since May 2017. The client wanted to launch a mobile virtual B2B platform where business people could meet instead of using the telephone or video calls. Our team had to perform a wide range of tasks including:

  • Developing a multi-platform VR application;
  • Building a multi-user environment that virtually relocates up to 100 people to the meeting venue;
  • Creating customizable Avatars for users;
  • Providing presentation functionality with rich media material;
  • Implementing lip and body language synchronization.

WORKFLOW

During the project implementation, N-iX team has resolved the following challenges:

  • Building a multi-platform VR solution that supports Oculus, HTC Vive, Google Daydream, Samsung Gear VR, iOS, Android, Windows and OS X;
  • Integrating the app with Google Account and Google Drive;
  • Synchronizing users’ movements and speech with the avatars’ body language;
  • Creating Voice/audio – 3D positional / Voice proximity to make the perception of surrounding users and objects ultimately realistic.

VALUE DELIVERED

N-iX team has created a multi-user virtual reality environment that enables up to 100 people from anywhere in the world to gather in one virtual meeting venue. The platform has been hosting meetings since June 2017. Therefore, our VR experts delivered the solution in line with the client’s expectations, including:

  • A virtual reality solution for holding meetings, conferences, presentations, and different kinds of sessions;
  • A multi-user virtual environment that is capable of hosting people from all over the world;
  • Customizable avatars for the users’ virtual representation;
  • Realistic avatar movements and interaction;
  • Access from both VR and traditional flat screens.
