Our team started by creating a game design document defining the game concept, its core mechanics and gameplay, monetization, and other features. Then, we developed the game prototype. After the client had approved it, we proceeded to game development.
First of all, our team designed the gameplay that feels fast and complete. We created multiple chapters and levels of various difficulty. So when the players complete all the levels within a chapter, they win it, and the whole picture is revealed. Moreover, we supplemented the levels with level subtypes such as layers, predictable unknown areas, darkness areas, bombs, and others.
Secondly, our team developed a monetization strategy. Since the game is free, monetization is achieved through buying new lives, getting hints and unlocking new levels quickly.
In addition, our experts implemented the viral features such as Facebook integration and the possibility of sharing the pictures via smartphone apps.
Our game artists (2D and 3D) created the visual style of the game that is appealing to the target audience and gives them a feeling of a smart game.
One of the challenging tasks we resolved was building a level generator that defines the clues placement for the game levels. Our team managed to develop a smart level generator that creates new levels with unique solutions in a fraction of a second. As a result, every time a player reaches a level he or she faces a new interesting puzzle.
